As a System Administrator - IT Support & Datacenter at our Dresden location, you will ensure the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure. You will work directly at the interface between a state-of-the-art data center and highly automated manufacturing.
Your expertise is needed here: you will assist with hardware replacement in the data center, set up end-user devices for our teams, and ensure that highly automated production systems are securely integrated into our network. Through your work in a 24/7 shift model, you contribute directly to ensuring that our chip production never stands still. Job Responsibilities

  • IT Support in Semiconductor Manufacturing: Practical IT support directly in the fab, such as security checks and virus scans on production equipment prior to their network integration.
  • Incident Management: Rapid response to system alerts according to standardized processes (SOPs) as well as escalation of complex IT problems to the respective IT specialists.
  • Data Center & Hardware Maintenance: Performing physical maintenance work in the data center as well as replacing defective hardware components (e.g., hard drives, RAM, power supplies, fans) in server and storage systems.
  • IT Infrastructure Support: Monitoring and supporting the daily operation of our IT infrastructure (Windows/Linux servers, VMware, Kubernetes, and backup systems).
  • User Support (Service Center): Trusted point of contact for our employees regarding IT questions (setup of laptops/smartphones, software installations, and troubleshooting via phone, email, and chat).
  • Ensuring 24/7 Operation: Participation in a continuous shift model to ensure the smooth IT operation of the fab around the clock.

Your profile

Must Have
  • Education: Successfully completed training as an IT specialist for system integration, or a comparable qualification.
  • Professional Experience: Initial experience in IT support, data center operations, or system administration.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, network fundamentals, and a strong passion for hardware troubleshooting.
  • Languages: Fluent German and good written and spoken English skills.
  • Personality: Practical, solution-oriented way of working, resilience, and willingness to work in 24/7 shift rotations.
Nice to Have
  • Initial experience with virtualization (e.g., VMware, Kubernetes).
  • IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, CCNA, Linux/LPI).
  • Basic knowledge of Mandarin is a plus.
